TeacherSITY in partnership with NCERT, Central Board of Secondary Education, Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti, [NVS] and Kendriya Vidyalaya Samiti [KVS] organized a Teachers’ Conference, on 13th November’ 2010. The event was inaugurated by Hon. Dr APJ Abdul Kalam.
Teachers from various schools attended the conference and presented papers based on their research and classroom experiences during the sessions. Academic researchers and administrators discussed their classroom personal and professional challenges.
As a participant, teachers from Amrita Vidyalayam, West Bengal attended the conference and was able to share their experiences and research methods.
The deliberations were made up of important themes as —

3. Teacher and Pupil – Changing times – dynamic relationships, Impact on Learning?

7. ICT embedded pedagogy – challenges and solutions?
8. CCE- The Challenges & Possibilities
9. Teacher Education – Pre-Service & In-Service professional development – need and opportunities?
10. Personal & Professional Development – aspirations and challenges?
These sessions enabled the participants to freely discuss and debate various challenges of education system and its implementation. Thrust was given on innovation and research methods.
Through various professional development programmes, TeacherSity has created a broad platform and enabled various Policy makers, Examining Boards, School administrators, principals and teachers come together and lead the Teacher Empowerment movement.
